How is salary hike percentage calculated?
Salary hike percentage compares the increase in your new annual CTC with your current annual CTC. The calculator also shows the annual rupee increase and an average monthly CTC increase.
Example
If your current CTC is ₹8 lakh and your new CTC is ₹10 lakh, the increase is ₹2 lakh. That is a 25% salary hike.
CTC is not the same as in-hand salary
A higher CTC does not always translate directly into the same percentage increase in take-home pay. Employer PF, gratuity, variable compensation and tax can affect what reaches your bank account.
